The Providence city council is jumping on the marriage equality bandwagon, endorsing the pending gay marriage bill that’s awaiting a hearing in the state Senate, as HRC reports:
Yesterday the Providence City Council passed a resolution in support of marriage equality legislation, HB 5015. This is the second time the City of Providence has passed a resolution supporting marriage for all Rhode Island families. The council’s vote follows the strong House of Representatives’ vote in favor of marriage equality last month.
Now if the Senate will just get off it’s… ahem.
